Vandalia, OH.  Zed Industries introduces high-speed sealing equipment for new and developmental designs of child-resistant, carded and unit-dose walleting pharmaceutical packaging.  The Zed Series HH utilizes multi-station dual heat technology and cycles speeds for three (3) to five (5) layer child-resistant wallets are 2-3 times faster than traditional equipment.  These machines utilize “low-cost air suspension-technology” tooling, and tools may be fabricated and changed at the machine in seconds without hand tools. 

Zed HH Sealers address the multi-layer construction utilized in selective seal, perforated window and multiple trap door pharmaceutical packaging as well as RFID and digital information technology packaging designs.

Improved cycle times are attributable to the dual head design and minimum heat sync loss of suspension tooling.

Zed combines ultra-high seal pressures to penetrate multi-layer “CR” construction, while preventing sealing of selective areas and protecting the tablet or capsule from heat exposure.

Production speeds can approach 300 pieces per minute while delivering the tamper-resistant/tamper-evident and anti-pirating protection only achievable with traditional heat seal adhesives.

Formats are available in shuttle, rotary and inline systems with work areas from 100 square inches (10”x 10”), 210 square inches (14” x 15”), up to and exceeding 7.4 square feet (28” x 38”).

ZED HH Systems are also capable of standard blister sealing with existing heat seal tools.
